Application Information

For the training, 25 main and 10 reserve students studying in the 4th year of the English Language Teaching Undergraduate Program at different universities will be determined as candidate participants. Interested teacher candidates must fill out the application form by 18 April 2025 at the latest.  Participant selection will begin within 3 days after the application deadline. A comprehensive review of the applications will be carried out by the project's organizing committee to ensure their compliance with the program's objectives. In determining the participants, characteristics such as university, city and gender will be evaluated as much as possible and care will be taken to ensure a balanced distribution. Selected participants will be informed via e-mail. The notification process will be completed immediately to give participants sufficient time to prepare. There will be no fee for application and participation in the training.

Participants planned to be included in the events will be determined according to the following criteria:

• Being a 4th year undergraduate student in the English Language Teaching program at different universities in Turkey.
• Being registered in the TÜBİTAK ARBİS system.
• Not being/has not been an executive in TÜBİTAK research projects.
• Not having attended a similar training within the scope of TÜBİTAK 2237-A more than 5 times before.
• Having successfully completed the Language and Literature Teaching course in at least one semester of the program.
• GPA must be at least 3.0 out of 4.00.

In case there are more applications than the determined quota;

• Primarily for candidates studying in earthquake-prone provinces, 
• Candidates who have not taken part in a TUBITAK 2237-A project training before, 
• Priority will be given to students who are supported as managers or researchers in the TÜBİTAK 2209-A project.

If the specified quota exceeding situation continues; 
• Priority will be given to students with high undergraduate GPA. In case of a tie, priority will be given to the participants whose application order is first. 
Instead of candidates who are on the main list but stated that they will not be able to participate in the event, participants will be included from the reserve list, respectively, according to the above-mentioned criteria.
